MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS for Tuesday, January 17, 2017
Lunch for today: Pork Rib Patty on Bun
First semester finals will be given tomorrow, Thursday and Friday. The bell schedule for the First Semester finals has been sent to your teachers and are posted in the office. Lunch will not be provided and you only need to be here for the time periods you are scheduled to have an exam. Flex periods on Wednesday and Friday are to be used ONLY if you have three exams scheduled for Thursday. Buses will run regular morning schedules . There will be buses going home at 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday and Friday and at 12:30 on Thursday. If you need a bus ride home after using the Flex times either on Wednesday or Friday, you need to sign up today by noon in the office and a bus will be provided for only those students that are on the list.
Attention students. The buildings and grounds department is hiring for the position of evening custodian at Ringwood School. The normal hours are school days from 3:00pm until 7:00pm. Starting pay is $8.25 per hour. Applicants must be 16 years of age and provide their own transportation. Interested candidates should see Mr. Kormanak in the custodial office room 415 for an application.
Course Selection for next year starts this month! Sophomores - you will have orientation with the Lake County Tech Campus on on Wednesday, January 25th during 9th hour in the auditorium. Everyone must attend. Juniors, you will start choosing your classes for next year on Monday, January 30 during your English class. Sophomores will go on Tuesday, January 31 and freshman will go Wednesday, February 1. Classes will be selected in Skyward and you must done choosing your classes by Thursday, February 9th at 5pm.
For all members of DECA, there will be no meeting held today. Share your projects with Mr. Cherwin: we will meet again after finals (probably on Friday.)
Attention athletes the track & field season is about to begin, our first day of practice will be Monday January 23. If you are not in a spring sport please consider Track & Field there are 17 separate events that you can compete in. We will be holding a brief information meeting on Tuesday January 17th in room 232 for both the boys and girls teams. If you are unable to attend the meeting please see anyone of the coaches for the information, boys Coaches Setzler in room 232, Bennett in room 228, girls Coaches Trione in room 221 or Weaver in the CRC.
Registration is now open for all Spring Sports- Girls Soccer, Boys and Girls Track, Boys Tennis, Baseball, Softball and Bass Fishing. Go to the high school athletics website click on the registration tab to register. Registration will close February 17th and tryouts begin February 27th.
